Architecture Nomad PLLC and ARCNOMA Debut Dual-Entity Design Model Featuring Sensory Partnerships with NanaWall, re.lines.Co, and MarJos

BROOKLYN, NY – Architecture Nomad PLLC and the international design studio ARCNOMA hosted their official launch event and design mixer at Hotel 42 in Williamsburg. The evening marked the formal introduction of founder Christopher Mancia’s dual-entity ecosystem, establishing a clear line between global speculative research and local licensed architectural practice in New York.

The launch event highlighted the practice’s foundational commitment to human centric design, environmental crafting, and architectural materiality. Rather than a traditional firm presentation, the mixer functioned as an interdisciplinary showcase structured around the theme of Architecture for the Senses. The evening featured dedicated exhibitions and presentations from three distinct industry collaborators: NanaWall, re.lines.Co, and MarJos Shoe Repair.

Interdisciplinary Brand Activations
The event underscored how both ARCNOMA and Architecture Nomad PLLC look beyond traditional boundaries to inform their built work. Each partner company presented unique spatial and tactile insights during the main program:

  • NanaWall: Showcased their advanced open wall systems under the theme of boundaries unbound, illustrating how flexible structural envelopes enhance natural airflow and human centric comfort.

  • re.lines.Co: Presented specialized research detailing architecture for the senses, exploring how acoustic, visual, and tactile textures impact human behavior within interior environments.

  • MarJos Shoe Repair: Contributed an essential perspective on traditional tactile craft and material longevity, drawing parallels between meticulous leather manipulation and architectural detailing.

A Dual Framework for Global and Local Innovation
The structure of the evening mirrored the operational workflow of Mancia’s practice. ARCNOMA utilizes global research, material studies, and sensory data to develop international projects and avant garde design concepts. Architecture Nomad PLLC subsequently steps in to manage the technical execution, applying rigorous due diligence, zoning analysis, and building code compliance to safely deliver these concepts within the complex New York regulatory landscape.

"Our launch event was designed to prove that architecture is an ongoing dialogue with materiality, craft, and human experience," says Christopher Mancia. "By sharing the floor with NanaWall, re.lines.Co, and MarJos, we demonstrated how our global research arm, ARCNOMA, pulls inspiration from diverse industries to inform our spatial concepts. Architecture Nomad PLLC then provides the professional framework to execute those ideas with structural and regulatory precision."

The event drew an array of developers, local business owners, and design professionals to the Black Bird Global Gastropub & Lounge within Hotel 42, establishing the collaborative ecosystem as a progressive force in both the local Brooklyn community and the broader international design conversation.
